The Minister of Māori Affairs is the government minister responsible for Mā Te Reo.

Te Rōpū Tautoko is the name of the committee that manages the Mā Te Reo Fund. Four government agencies involved in Māori language regeneration are represented on the committee, they are:

Māori Language Commission - Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori
Ministry of Māori Development – Te Puni Kōkiri
Māori Broadcasting Funding Agency – Te Māngai Pāho
Ministry of Education – Te Tāhūhū o te Mātauranga
